Tonight, my wife and I are going on a long-awaited, well-deserved date night. So, since I’m hungry and raring to go, I have one thing on my mind… Food.
That said, I don’t know what plans you have this weekend, but try this…
Have a nice dinner.
No, I’m not necessarily saying that you have to get all gussied up and head out on the town.
Just… Have a nice dinner.
But more importantly, have a slow dinner. Preferably with people/someone you love.
If you’re flying solo, that’s great too. Have a nice, slow dinner with yourself.
Slow is the key here.
Do everything slow.
Cook the meal slowly.
Talk slowly (but not too slow, because that’s just awkward).
Don’t rush to clean up afterwards, let it sit and BE with your guest(s)/yourself.
Dinner tables were the first churches.
Some things never change, in essence.
