There's only one list

Just a reminder (because it’s so easy to forget, especially as the Christmas blues creep in)…

The creator of the universe sees you and knows you even better than you know yourself. And this king of creation is absolutely over the moon about you.

The accuser tells you you’re irrelevant and need to earn your approval by winning accolades and gaining recognition.

The creator of the universe was bonkers about you before you even breathed your first breath. And His love for you has only grown deeper as your life has moved along.

Don’t listen to the accuser. He was a middle manager for God who got fired a long time ago, but he still takes up room in our heads (and doesn’t even pay rent!).

You and I - we are holy and beloved fools who carry God’s image in our very DNA. You are a living and breathing temple of the Spirit, as holy and valuable as anything else in the entire galaxy.

Our God is a creator God. A redeemer God. This God is actively crafting us into a kingdom that is alight with Her love flowing into, through, and out of us toward each other. This is your birthright, and it is mine.

This is true whether you feel you’ve landed a solid spot on the naughty list or not. In Jesus’ eyes, there’s only one list: the beloved list. In fact, it’s the ones who think they’ve worked their way onto the ‘good’ list who need to be really nervous when Jesus is around.

Tell Santa to put that in his pipe and smoke it.
