Sin is disharmony with reality.
It is when there is a rupture in the shalom…
between you and yourself
between you and others
between you and the created natural world
and ultimately, between you and God.
But get this…
Though sin is real for all of us,
it is not the most real thing
about any of us.
Though you (and I, of course)
are capable of living in terrible falseness,
the cord between you and God
is never severed.
