Live loudly (but have a quiet soul)

Be bold. But come home and write poetry.

Rough house with your kids until they giggle so much they pee. But then watch them as they sleep.

Fill up an auditorium and deliver. But be over the moon with that late night dinner with your honey on the back deck.

Embrace affluence and celebrity if it comes. But eat ripe apricots from the tree when you can.

Live loudly.
But come home to a quiet soul.

Own it. But realize and find peace in the fact that you can’t control more than a minuscule portion of what’s happening in the big picture.
