The usefulness of pain

Pain is the great awakener. It’s our internal motivator for inner-change.

We humans are stubborn. Many times it’s only when we hit rock bottom and that we experience the impetus for transcendence.

Pain pushes us until a larger vision pulls us.
 — Michael Beckwith

When we get complacent, pain works as a trusted well-meaning friend to slingshot us into the evolution of our consciousness.

It tells us, quite viscerally, that we’re inhabiting too small of an inner world and that we’re ready to knock down a wall or two and throw up that add-on we’ve been wanting.

Use the gift of pain to grow. If not, life will gladly give you constant reminders to do so.
