If you flail and thrash around, it’s impossible to float. Eventually, you’ll expend all of your energy and drown.
On the other hand, if you just give up and do nothing — opposite methodology, but same result — you drown.
You have to be attentive to float. Not resigned. Not panicked. Attentive.
Attentiveness allows us to be present without burning ourselves out. When we’re attentive, we don’t resign from life. We’re active participants. But we’re also not forcing things.
Be attentive to your mental and emotional state. Be attentive to your inner guidance. Be attentive to the other humans you share this experience with.
