The grass is always greener, isn’t it? We get antsy where we are now. And even when we move on to the next thing, that feeling of uneasiness follows us.
Sometimes, we get downright terrified of our experience. The shadows are just too much to bear.
We do it with others — friends, clients, family.
When they come to us with an issue or a problem, we’re quick to rescue them from an experience that we don’t think they should have.
“If the only thing that people learned was not to be afraid of their own experience, that alone would change the world.”
- Syd Banks
What if we just saw the shadows for what they really were? Just strange movement. Nothing to hurt us.
What if we danced with our experience instead of constantly looking over our shoulder for a better partner? What if we kicked off our tightly-laced shoes, threw on some slippers, and got nice and comfy right where we are, for a change?
Might feel just right.
